- From the key group “Scheibenbilder” (Disk Paintings). - The painting captivates with its striking combination of deep emerald green and a gray undertone. - In the year the work was created, the artist was represented with other disk pictures at the Venice Biennale, as well as in the major retrospective “German Art of the 20th Century” at the Museum of Modern Art in New York a year later.
