A Huari Gold Plume Peru, c. 700-1000 AD Sheet gold alloy, highly reflective, mirror-like. Cut in form of a widening plume rising from a crescent. The upper part of the crescent cut in a sawtooth pattern, with embossed circles, and arches with open-work bird heads in profile. A long pin at bottom for attachment to a crown or headdress. Two silver blade shape dangles attached at ends of crescent. In excellent condition, some oxidation to the silver dangles. Professionally mounted to a custom stand.
