- Idyllic landscape depiction from the sought-after 1990s. - Using recurrent motifs like the geometric red roofs between gentle clouds and lush green hills, SALVO time and again probed the nature of painting and the creative powers of light. - As of around 1995, he was particularly inspired by the landscapes of the Gulf of Policastro and the Po Valley around Monviso. - His works are part of international museum collections such as the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Museo d'Arte Moderna di Bologna or the Klassik Stiftung, Weimar. - Up until May 25, 2025, the Pinacoteca Agnelli in Turin shows a comprehensice SALVO solo show.
