• Maximum impact through deliberate reduction: an extremely early work with a beautiful rhythmic structure.
• The radical nature of Girke’s artistic practice is based on the absence of any motifs.
• Offered on the international auction market for the first time (Source: artprice.com).
Private collection, Northern Germany
In good condition. Some craquelure in places, mainly in the impasto sections, as well as isolated small areas of paint flaking, though these are hardly noticeable in the overall picture. The two left corners of the painting are slightly scuffed. Very isolated, faint brown spots, likely studio- or material-related. A few tiny dark blue deposits or traces of paint in the upper right and left corners. The condition report was compiled in daylight with the aid of a UV light source, and to the best of our knowledge and belief.
