56 Terrasse (Claude). Petit solfège illustré. Paris, ancienne maison Quantin... , 1893
" 1891. The Villa Bach in Arcachon is home to the Terrasse family. It was a house full of children, laughter and games. Claude Terrasse, a renowned operetta composer at the time, and his wife Andrée, a pianist and music coach, were engaged in passionate discussions with the Nabi painter Pierre Bonnard, Andrée's brother.During the winter of that year, Claude Terrasse wrote a manual of musical pedagogy that renewed the genre at the time. To illustrate it and give it a cheerful, upbeat tone, he asked his brother-in-law to take part in the project. The painter then sketched, in comic scenes, caricatured and tender children's poses."
