Condition:
Slightly discoloured. Discolouring or grease stains on the upper edge in two places and on the right edge in two places. Pinholes ripped out in all four corners. Tear at top centre, glued to verso (ca. 1.5 cm). Small tear at upper centre, ca. 0.3cm. Two tears to right margin, max. 0.5cm. Glued and retouched tear in lower right corner. Occasional slight bumpings to edges. Slight traces of handling. Verso bleeding through of printing ink. Otherwise in good condition.

The artist produced the printing block in 1930 for the edition of a colour woodcut, which was never realised. It was then printed as a woodcut in 1960 as an annual gift for the Karl Hofer Society, Berlin. From an unknown edition.
