Vivian Maier (American, 1926-2009) Reading Lines on the Set of Taxi (4 works), 1953 Gelatin silver prints 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 inches (7.0 x 7.0 cm) (sheets) From the Ron Slattery collection Maier shot extensively the day that Taxi was filming on location on this NYC street. According to research by biographer Pamela Bannos, Maier may have been taking photography classes and often using a studio darkroom in the building featured in Taxi. Overall very good condition. Some sheets with accretions and areas of discoloration, mostly on the versos. Some slight bumping to the corners. Sheets are loose, not framed.
