拍品信息
One dated and inscribed in pencil, verso.
Vivian Maier (American, 1926-2009) Architectural Studies (8 works), 1950 Gelatin silver prints 2-3/4 x 3-3/4 inches (7.0 x 9.5 cm) (sheets) One dated and inscribed in pencil, verso. From the Ron Slattery collection Included in this lot are photographs taken on Vivian Maier's 1950 travels abroad to the rural French village from where her family emigrated to America and the surrounding region. These are her earliest known work. Already they show her dedication to her craft and her quickly growing confidence behind the camera. According to biographer Pamela Bannos, Maier was so insistent with her camera that some people in her family's French village thought she might be a spy, and she ended up being questioned by the police about her photography. Notations in her own hand appear on the back of at least one print. HID12401132022 © 2024 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
Overall excellent condition. Sheets have deckled edges. A very few soft creases throughout lot. Sheets are loose, not framed.
