Steichen included Orkin's engaging sequence of images, The Card Players, in his groundbreaking Family of Man exhibition at The Museum of Modern Art, New York in 1955. The sequence shows three children sitting around a toy wagon they are using as a tabletop. The concluding picture focuses on the joyful expression of Marilyn, the sequence's precocious central character, which Steichen considered "the gayest spot in the symphony."
