拍品信息
A Russian Shaded Cloisonné Enameled Gilt Silver Bird-Form Kovsh ЕПР, Moscow, circa 1900 7-1/2 x 9-1/4 x 6 inches (19.1 x 23.5 x 15.2 cm) 949 grams PROVENANCE: Private Collection, Michigan; John Atzbach Antiques, Bellevue, Washington, acquired from the above; Acquired from the above by the present owner. A number of related kovshi in this form and with peacock crests exist and have been offered at auction with marks of Semenova, Sazikov, Ovchinnikov, and Khlebnikov. Some appear to be by the same workshop, indicating that ЕПР may have been the artist behind those retailed by other makers. See Lyon & Turnbull, Edinburgh, The Chen Collection, November 23 2008, lot 26. While the Moscow silversmith & enameller who used the Cyrillic initials ЕПР as a maker's mark remains unknown, numerous examples of the quality of the workshop's production can be seen in both public & private collections.
