A Russian Partial Gilt and Niello Silver Tray Unidentified maker DL, Moscow, 1837 0-5/8 x 6-5/8 inches (1.6 x 16.8 cm) 214 grams (6.88 troy ounces) This Moscow tray centers the arms of Charles Vane, 3rd Marquess of Londonderry (1778-1854). The arms sinister are surrounded by the motto of the Order of the Bath. A partial gilt silver and niello tobacco box by the same unidentified maker is recorded in the collection of the State Historical Museum, Moscow, and the mark DL is recorded in Postnikova-Losseva, Zolotoe i serebryanoe delo XV-XX vv., Moscow: 1995, no. 2416, p. 214.
