PROVENANCE: The artist; Private collection; Private collection, by descent of the above. This lot is accompanied by two additional 8 x 10 inches photographs taken June 29, 1952 at lunch in Detroit where Weegee presented the owner's father with this photograph of The Critic. In overall very good condition. Mounted to board. Crazing to the surface and small creases visible on close inspection. Areas of surface loss along the lower edge covered by the mat. Framed to 16 x 18 inches.
