The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This work has not been examined unframed. The canvas is slightly slack. A faint horizontal stretcher bar impression is visible to the upper third of the canvas, and a vertical stretcher bar impression is visible to the right third of the canvas. Very minor wear is to the corners, and a few faint rubs are to the turning edges A few soft scuffs are intermittently to the black. Two drip accretions are to the lower left quadrant. There is no apparent inpainting under ultraviolet light.
