Oil on canvas. Signed, dated, titled and inscribed "weiß grün" on the reverse. 220 x 161 cm. . [AW].
- Expressive example of the dominant role man plays in Fettings work. - Masterfully reduced style with a highly expressive effect. - Paintings from the early 1980s are among his most sought-after works. - Other works by Rainer Fetting from the 1980s can be found at, among others, the Tate Gallery, London, the Städel Museum, Frankfurt am Main, and the Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich.
The authenticity of the present work has been confirmed by the artist and bears the work number "C/40". We are grateful for the kind support in cataloging this lot.

In good condition with beautiful colors. With isolated traces from the making and with traces of rubbing, predominantly in the outer margins. Slightly soiled in places, particularly in the lower right margin of the image. The canvas slightly irregular due to the stretcher in the upper right corner. The condition report was compiled in daylight with the help of an ultraviolet light and to the best of knowledge.
