Provenance:
- Private Collection North Rhine-Westphalia
- Small-format watercolour from the series of 'Unpainted Paintings' created between 1938 and 1945
- His marshland landscapes with their high, picture-filling skies are among the most sought-after motifs
- The dominant blue-green-black colouring with the delicate yellow accents creates a stormy, turbulent scene in which the marsh landscape seems to dissolve.
