Lined canvas. Some yellowing to the varnish layer and finely patterned craquelure throughout. A few scattered minor surface abrasions and small dots of retouched loss. A very few scattered small unretouched losses in left side of work. Mild surface dirt and dust, most apparent near edges. Not examined out of frame due to size. Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly. An area of brushy retouching in the background above the leftmost ship in the distance, and with a few additional dots and dashes of more finely applied retouching scattered throughout. Framed Dimensions 32.25 X 43 X 3 Inches
