A Russian Pan-Slavic Enameled Gilt Silver Kovsh Fabergé, Attributed to Feodor Rückert, Moscow, 1908-1917, with scratched inventory number 35936 5-1/2 x 4-3/4 x 7-7/8 inches (14.0 x 12.1 x 20.0 cm) 436 grams PROVENANCE: Dimitri Mavrommatis, London; Sotheby's London, The Dimitri Mavrommatis Collection, July 8, 2008, lot 85; John Atzbach Antiques, Bellevue, Washington, acquired from the above; Acquired from the above by the present owner. This kovsh, another unique form from Rückert exhibits two unusual details: the shaped and reticulated handle which evokes an almost prehistoric form, and the unenamelled hammered gilt-silver ground. Another Fabergé kovsh with consecutive inventory no. 35937 was sold, Christie's New York, April 19, 1990, lot 174.
